Ruolin Li
I am a Gabilan Assistant Professor with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Southern California. I am actively looking for 2-3 highly self-motivated Ph.D. students (fully funded) to join my lab in Fall 2025. Check here for details.
I was previously a postdoctoral scholar working with Prof. Marco Pavone at Stanford. Prior to that, I obtained a Ph.D. and a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering advised by Prof. Roberto Horowitz from UC Berkeley in 2023 and 2018. I have been selected as a Rising Star in Mechanical Engineering by Stanford in 2022 and a Rising Star in Civil and Environmental Engineering by MIT in 2021.
I am broadly interested in the design and control of future mobility systems, particularly involving automated agents such as autonomous vehicles. My research lies at the intersection of game theory, multi-agent systems, control and optimization, and machine learning, aiming to enhance the societal benefits of the intelligent transportation system.
